This cemetery has been in continuous use by the parish of St. Columban's for well over a century. In its grounds are buried many of the parish's deceased members, including former Cornwall Mayor, Joseph Lally; John McMartin, former Member of Parliament and Merchant Mahoney, former Canadian High Commissioner who died while in office. Head stones honouring Msgr. Corbet and Father John Foley, another former pastor of St. Columban's are also found there.
