Former Chesley's Inn

Originally constructed in the 1820s and operated by Chesley family as a pioneer inn, this structure served as a central meeting place for the community and a welcome resting place for weary travelers. The railway changed transportation habits. Likely at this time, the building was moved back from the street and covered with brick veneer. The building is an outstanding example of the Georgian style of architecture. This house, now a private residence, is one of Cornwall's oldest standing buildings and serves as an attractive reminder of the city's early history.
