Dr. Fraser (Smart) House

This is the former Fraser House and is another of the designated sites in Cornwall. The plaque on it dedicates it to a Mr. Smart, the first owner of the building. J.F. Smart erected the building circa 1883, Deputy Sheriff of Cornwall, then later owned by Charles Sargent, the Resident Engineer of the
St. Lawrence Canal. In 1945, it became the treasured possession of Dr. S.B.Fraser. Larry McCallum is now the owner. Larry kept the building’s heritage values when he did his renovations.
